Mrs. Cruz's Success Story

From Solara Specialty Hospital Harlingen

In July, Mrs. Cruz transitioned to Solara Specialty Hospitals Harlingen to recover from COVID-19 and respiratory failure. When Mrs. Cruz arrived at Solara, she was weak and needed oxygen to help her breathe.

During her evaluation, Mrs. Cruz shared the difficulty she experienced when speaking or eating a meal. She would often become short of breath and discouraged. However, with the support of her family, her faith, and the high-quality care from our team, Mrs. Cruz believed she could return home.

In less than one month, Mrs. Cruz accomplished this goal! Upon discharge to her home, Mrs. Cruz was communicating with our team and enjoying her favorite meals! We’re so inspired by her determination! Congratulations, Mrs. Cruz!

Care for Complex Conditions

Patients come to our hospitals with serious conditions such as respiratory failure, complex wounds, sepsis, stroke, congestive heart failure, or even a combination of these. Their diagnoses are often complicated by existing health problems like diabetes or COPD. Many of our patients require treatments such as mechanical ventilators, dialysis, or IV therapy.
